Founder & CEO
Clinton Powell, PE
For two decades, Clint has focused on the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of municipal infrastructure, hydropower engineering, rural water systems, and rural development. This broad engineering background coupled with his previous management of federal grant programs allows Clint to help clients develop projects that are both technically feasible and financially viable.

Engineering Director & Operations
Blake Harms, EIT
Delivering projects, Blake is typically responsible for contract administration, project management, agency coordination, quality control, and execution of design and construction. Keeping the owner's project goals as the team's focus, he is committed to delivering projects on time and within budget, and he is driven to complete the highest quality, best value project for the owner.

Consulting Director
Dennis Carroll
A retired Army National Guard Operations Sergeant Major, Dennis brings leadership and community development skills to every project. At Pinpoint, Dennis works closely with the Santee Sioux Tribe on several development projects. His top priority is securing clean, reliable drinking water for Santee since the Nation has been without safe drinking water since the 2020 EPA no consumption order.

Senior Engineer
Greg Powell, PE
Greg Powell brings a wealth of infrastructure expertise, including 25 years as City Engineer for Chamberlain. Along with client management, he specializes in strategic funding acquisition and execution of complex water, sewer, and street projects. His dual proficiency in agricultural and municipal engineering is specifically tailored to the needs of rural water systems and area communities.

Monte Kerchal
A retired Army National Guard Command Sergeant Major, Monte leverages 30 years of leadership to drive collective strategic goals. At Pinpoint, he guides community projects from inception to completion, specializing in infrastructure under duress. Certified in both Drinking Water and Solid Waste operations, Monte is dedicated to securing clean water and sustainable wastewater solutions.

Design Engineer & Project Manager
Nick Gillen, PE
Nick manages the project lifecycle from initial planning through construction admin. His rural water expertise includes design and project management of local service lines to large-scale 36-inch transmission mains. Also, Nick specializes in the evaluation and design of wastewater collection and treatment facilities, drinking water storage facilities, water distribution systems, and complex hydraulic modeling.

Senior Engineer
Erik Case, PE
With two decades of civil engineering experience, Erik excels in site design, land development, and municipal engineering, seamlessly navigating projects from grading and drainage to utility and street design. He has recently expanded his work to include rural water design review. Erik’s design portfolio encompasses commercial, industrial, and residential developments, municipal street, utility, and rehabilitation projects.

Lead Designer
Todd Price
Todd Price has over 25 years of experience in successfully delivering a wide range of land development projects, including residential subdivisions, commercial, and mixed-use developments. With a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and obtain necessary approvals, he can move a project efficiently from planning through design engineering to final completion.

Project Manager
Heidi Austin
A veteran of the industry, Heidi leads high-stakes infrastructure initiatives by combining client care with a disciplined project delivery. While balancing technical accuracy with the realities of project constraints, she continually ensures that schedule and budget meet client expectations. Beyond high-level PM duties, she remains involved in engineering support and administration to drive projects to completion.

Staff Engineer
Ethan Tellinghuisen, EIT
A South Dakota State University alum, Ethan specializes in civil infrastructure design, utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D to deliver comprehensive site and utility solutions. He has a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices, including site planning, grading, drainage, and water and wastewater design. He also provides construction administration services for critical rural water projects.

Beth Sayler
A meticulous CADD technician, Beth specializes in the development and refinement of technical drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS. She brings extensive experience to the project team, ensuring seamless integration across design platforms. Beth is recognized for her precise documentation while maintaining focus on project schedule and technical accuracy.

Justin Brown
Justin excels at transforming plans into reality. With a decade of experience, he smoothly transitions a project from the planning, design and engineering phase into the construction phase. Justin expertly provides construction management services to track budget, schedule, and scope while delivering high-quality, sustainable projects and ensuring a positive client experience from start to finish.

Marketing & Communications Director
Jill Pudwill
With over 20 years in the A/E/C industry, Jill has worked closely with engineering teams to clearly translate technical solutions into meaningful dialogue. Working with the client, Jill can create an integrated communication plan to promote project development and tell the project story during design and construction. She also gets to be a brand ambassador, collateral creator, and planner for the Pinpoint team.

Abby Sorensen
Starting her third-year internship, Abby continues to thrive in delivering critical rural water projects. Abby is quick to tackle difficult tasks, ask thoughtful questions, and add valuable insight. She provides reliable support in all areas including project management, grant writing, RFP/RFQ document creation, spec writing, and construction administration.

Sydney Klein
An SDSU Construction Management student, Sydney has gained a unique hands-on experience in various aspects of construction project management. From muddy pipe installation construction observation to critical path schedule development and management, Sydney has learned but also contributed to the Pinpoint team.

Boston Willemssen
An SDSU Civil Engineering student, Boston gained valuable in drafting and design. Working in AutoCAD, he contributing to active ongoing infrastructure and land development projects. Boston is committed to developing practical skills in a dynamic engineering environment.

Kole Hawkins
Kole is a fourth-generation beef producer from Western Colorado, where his family has managed a cattle ranch and 500-acre farm for nearly a century. Currently studying Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at SDSU, Kole is focused on learning the ins and outs of consulting, design, and construction for complex infrastructure and land development projects.
